about

lyrics

It was gettin’ pretty late
I was gettin’ pretty high
Could barely stay awake
I could barely use my eyes
How much did I take?
Somebody musta lied

So I sat down on the couch
With water in my glass
Some couples making out
To my right and to my left
And tried to figure out
How to take a deep breath

Then Bobby started shouting
From across the other room
“Somebody made a fountain
With the keg and funnel tube”
Me, I had my doubts
But now I couldn’t move

‘Cause the room was spinning circles
The clock was standing still
The preps were turning purple
The jocks were popping pills
Me, I was a turtle
Hiding in his shell

Well I didn’t hear the sirens
I didn’t see the lights
When people started hiding
I was sitting tight
Now they’re by my side
Reading me my rights
